My First Blog..ITS EASTER!!!

Hey Guys!
Ok.. So today was absolutely BEAUTIFUL outside.. Im slighty red on my shoulders and "neck bone area"..haha! (Not too bad!!) and Im actually HAPPY about it. This morning we got up and headed to church with my husbands mother at her home church, then later.. we went to our home church to celebrate ressurection day! When we got out of church we went over to my husbands moms and ate some delicious turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits, stuffing, and GRAVY! it was amazing! lol Then we headed home to play with our doggies and take our neighbor a plate of food! We have three lovable dogs! One is a chihuahua, the other is a boxer, and the other is a coon hound! they are our babies.. since we dont have any kids. lol! But I just had a great time out in the sun today. Shot a little basketball, talked about going fishing.. yea, life was great! tehe..
Ok, so last week I performed at Richwood High School in West Virginia..close to summerville if any of yall know where that is. Everyone was really nice! However.. I was told that I was going to be singing at 12:30AM, so I got prepared to sing at that time. Well, there was this dance group called the "Cactus Kickers"..they all did great!!.. they danced quite a bit and was still rockin it! and we're talking older women in their 40s-60s!! However, their teacher interrupted my performance! They had sat down for a break, so I did as I was told and went on stage at 12:30. I Just got up there, did my first song, my testimony (which meant alot to me), and then lead into my song called "Forgiven" which is a true story about me. Well, I think I had enough time to say "now" or "then"..because I was going to give an invitation to give others an opportunity to meet the Lord.. when she gets on the microphone and says"ooooooook, that was a great break and now its time to dance again!" I was stunned. Now granted she was not informed that I was singing at 12:30, buuut I believe there would of been a much better way to of delt with that. (for example, go up to someone in charge and say something like "I thought we were also suppose to perform at 12:30..it would of caused alot less confusion and me being upset) Well, I originally thought I would of been able to sing 6 songs straight through (which wouldnt of took that long) but CHANGE OF PLANS! lol So They start dancing while Im over there with my mouth to the ground and sort of humiliated.. I sat down and I told my mom that: "I know its not all about me, I get that.. but I didnt travel 3 hours to just sing two songs!.. I mean, yea...its NOT about me!!...but Its important to me to get my testimony out there!" So My mom got in touch with someone and they couldnt really do a whole lot about it.. so about when the "Ramp Feed" started, everyone kinda left.. and I was able to finish my set list. I was left singing about 15 people..(when before maybe 100 was there) I was more just sad then anything..because that could of been the only song someone had ever heard about Jesus! However, the lady that interrupted me came up to me and told me she didn't know anything, or else she would of introduced me. She seemed very sweet.. but I guess it sorta hurt me that she didnt really really apoligize. But anywho, life goes on! .. so at the end of my show I was able to talk to a few people who told me I had a great testimony! They had tears in their eyes and told me that I was a blessing. It lifted my spirits for the rest of the day! I looked over to my husband and said "thats what its about! It doesnt matter how many is watching you.. what matters is that SOMEONE got blessed!" I gave out a few of my business cards, took some pictures with some great people I met, and met some other great musicians as well! So in the end, it was worth it!
